When we went to Grandview to prepare to bury mom, everyone was great and helped us get everything together. The old staff that was there was wonderful. The new staff doesn’t care about how the cemetary looks and how the lawn crew takes care of things. They run over stuff on the grave and they don’t care the yard has looked terrible for the last 6 months. Dad cuts mom’s spot with weed eater when they don’t. Someone cut and stole the wind chime from the tree that’s been there for over a year and when we went to tell them about it the lady said if my dad read the contract he would have known they don’t allow chimes in tree ( there are chimes hang every place) and who at time of sorrow remembers all that stuff. If we would have know they didn’t take care of the grounds we would have buried mom some place else.

ANSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS. USE COCHRAN FUNERAL HOME. MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE. They wanted to charge me 16,000.00 for the funeral. With transferring my mother to cochran the funeral was 4500.00 same services provided with a much more personalized experience. This is a corporate business and all your doing is paying for their houses, cars, etc.

My family and I were terribly hurt, and disappointed! We prearranged services for our father at Grandview on Spencer Hwy. Our father passed on Wednesday and we could not see a director until Saturday! When we decided to go in person to inquire about arrangements, after they took our father into their care that Wednesday afternoon, they told us they could not see us. They said they were very busy because they just took in 8 bodies that morning, and that someone would call us when they became available to make an appointment. I was shocked because, that is not what a person who is grieving wants to hear. Furthermore, we were only concerned about our father and what to do next. We ultimately changed funeral homes, and no one at Grandview cared or asked why. I’m sure they did not care because business is so very good for them, and they are so very busy. Especially after receiving 8 bodies in one day. We made prearranged plans and paid $1700 down. When we decided to switch funeral homes, we were told my fathers body wouldn’t be released until we paid $2400 for embalming and transportation. I requested they deduct the $1700 I already prepaid, they told me no. I have to pay the $2400 and then formally request a refund via a letter. We had no choice but to pay the $2400 to get my fathers body released. As of right now, Grandview has made a little over $4100 from us for embalming and transportation. A week after taking them the letter, we have heard nothing about our refund.

The serene and well-kept environment further solidified my confidence in choosing Grand View as the final resting place for my loved ones. It's evident that the team takes pride in creating a peaceful and respectful space. Furthermore, Ms. Palomo's patience and empathy during this process were commendable. She recognized the emotional nature of selecting a final resting place and treated the matter with the utmost respect and understanding. Her willingness to answer questions and provide guidance helped alleviate some of the stress associated with such decisions. I wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Palomo to anyone seeking a cemetery plot.
